Position Summary
The Education Counsellor is responsible for guiding students in making informed academic and career decisions. This role involves understanding students’ interests, abilities, and goals, providing relevant educational advice, and supporting them throughout the admission or career-planning process.
Key Responsibilities
Student Counselling& Guidance
Provide one-on-one and group counselling sessions to understand students’ academic background, interests, and career aspirations.
Assist students in selecting suitable courses, programs, universities, or training opportunities.
Guide students through the admissions process, including applications, documentation, and deadlines.
Information & Advisory Support
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of educational programs, entrance requirements, scholarships, and career paths.
Explain program details, eligibility criteria, fee structures, and career prospects.
Conduct informational seminars, workshops, or orientation sessions for students and parents.
Documentation & Application Support
Assist students in preparing academic documents, statements of purpose, and application forms.
Ensure accuracy and timely submission of applications.
Relationship Management
Build strong relationships with students, parents, and educational institutions.
Coordinate with universities, colleges, and training centers regarding admissions, selection criteria, and updates.
Follow up with students during and after the enrollment process.
Administrative & Reporting Tasks
Maintain student records, counselling reports, and application status logs.
Provide weekly/monthly reports on inquiries, conversions, and student progress.
Support marketing and outreach activities including events, exhibitions, and school visits.
Required Skills & Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Education, Psychology, Counseling, or a related field (Master’s preferred).
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to build rapport with students and parents.
Good organizational and multitasking abilities.
Knowledge of educational systems (local and/or international).
Proficiency in MS Office and CRM tools.

Work Environment
